Hand-made hemp necklace with a hand carved jade fish hook pendant, batik bone beads, and a cowrie shell clasp. The "Hei Matau" is the Maori symbol of respect for the ocean, and is in the shape of a stylized fish hook of New Zealand.

The name "Great Hemp" comes from the first symbol ever made for the plant, "tai+ma". The fusion "great + hemp" demonstrates how useful the hemp plant was to the earliest tribes on the planet.
